I would consider something other than the puzzle piece. Most people who are autistic find the puzzler piece to be offensive, partly because it is used by Autism Speaks. It portrays a need to be fixed, and that isn’t what I want as am autistic person. I want acceptance.- I could get it somewhere where it wouldn’t show for like a job interview or something formal
- My sister has Autism. It’s a big part of my life. Looking back on getting it when I’m 85, I won’t regret it. I’ll have a story behind it. It would mean something.

The puzzle piece was a good symbol, simple, recognizable, easy to draw. From an allistic perspective, the idea that we are puzzling works. It is too bad Autism Speaks ruined it. My own autism tattoo is simple, a list of names of our people who are dead and should be alive in pretty script. I got it almost a year ago. Unfortunately, it will be expand as soon as I have money.
